About Me
Clients often ask me what inspired me to pursue a career in therapy. It’s a thoughtful and important question, and here’s the concise version of my answer:
My journey began after witnessing a loved one struggle with their mental health, a challenge significantly amplified by the pressures of social media. Observing their recovery, I saw firsthand the transformative power of therapy. While it was heartbreaking to feel helpless on the sidelines, the undeniable impact of therapy on their path to mental strength left a profound impression on me.
This experience underscored a critical realization: when we experience physical ailments, seeking medical attention is an obvious next step. Yet, when we face emotional or mental struggles—visible or invisible—seeking therapy is often not prioritized in the same way - though inroad in this area is certainly underway. Just as physical health professionals are vital, counseling services are equally essential for overall well-being.
This insight marked the start of my journey toward becoming a Counselling Psychologist. My approach with clients is rooted in nonjudgmental support combined with actionable takeaways. I strive to listen empathetically and non-judgementally while also encouraging clients to consider tangible steps that align with their goals—both within and beyond the therapy room.
